Breast Cancer Screening Programme
Breast Cancer Screening Programme
The Breast Cancer Screening Programme aims to assess the risk of women developing breast cancer, identify those at high risk, and allow for further screening and follow-up at an early stage, thereby realising early detection, diagnosis, and treatment and improving survival rates and quality of life.
Target group:
Female Macao residents aged 18 or over who use health centre services.
How to participate:
-
Those with an appointment at a health centre’s women’s health clinic can scan the QR code provided by the nurse while waiting to see the doctor. After verifying their identity via the Macao One Account, they are required to complete the “Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Questionnaire”. -
Those without an appointment at the women’s health clinic can visit or call the health centre to book a breast cancer assessment clinic appointment to take part in the screening programme.
Follow-up:
Staff will arrange further assessment for women assessed as being at high risk of breast cancer.
