The Social Sciences Research Centre of the University of Hong King(SSRC) was commissioned by the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region Health Bureau(Health Bureau) in December 2009 to conduct a survey on men's health.The purpose of the survey is to collect some essential information from men in Macao about their health condition,lifestyle and behaviour.This will provide valuable information to facilitate the planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programmes in future.
This survey covers the following thirteen areas:
Body mass index(BMI) and central obesity | Health check |
Fruit and vegetable consumption | Chronic illness |
Meat consumption | Mental health |
Smoking pattern | Social support |
Pattern of alcohol consumption | Health related quality of life |
Physical activity | Demographic information:age,ethnic group,education,marital status,occupation,monthly personal income,monthly household income,number of dependent,household size and religion |
